Registration for 2008-2009 kindergartedn students will begin on April 9, 2008. Children who have not attended Orange County kindergarten but will be attending first grade next year may register on the same day. Registration hours are 9:00a to 12:00p. Please note the following requirements:
1. Kindergarten: Students must register at the school that serves their parent's or guardian's residence. If school personnel cannot determine the proper placement, please call Pupil Assignment at 407-317-3233.
A child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2008 to register for kindergarten
2. First Grade: Students must register at the school that serves their parent's or guardian's residence. If school personnel cannot determine the proper placement, please call Pupil Assignment at 407-317-3233.
A child must be six years old on or before September 1, 2008 and must have successfully completed kindergarten to enter first grade.
To register your child, you will need to bring the following information:
1. Birth Certificate
2. Proof of Immunization against measles (rubella), mumps, DPT, chicken pox, hepatitis B and polio on a DOH form.
See your local physician of County Health Department for one of the following three documents prior to registration:
DOH 680A- Certificate of Immunization DOH 681 - Religious Exemption DOH 680B (Temporary) or DOH 680C (Permanent) - Medical Exemption
3. Proof of a health examination within the last year.
4. Verification of residence with Homestead Exemption Card, a lease agreement, Manifestation of Domicile, or a notarized statement.
