Speaking of students, Scott Peters at Eccleston always sends me these great tips – this one is on dealing with peer pressure....Scott says that pre-teens and teenagers often would rather spend time with their friends than with their parents or other adults –....Just because they choose their friends over you shouldn't stop you from still offering guidance and rules, even though they may fight you every step of the way – Make sure that you teach them to refuse offers of cigarettes, alcohol and drugs and you can even begin to role play these situations early on and most of all - Remember you are their parent and not a pal...Again these tips come in peiodically from Mr. Peters the assistant principal at Eccleston.

More on students, this Sunday at 3pm Evans High School will have an FCAT prayer and banquet service at their 9th grade center – to encourage students, teachers and parents to ace the upcoming exam....and this coming Tuesday the School board has a work session where changes at the school will be discussed, it's 4pm at the ELC...info is on our webstie STAR 94fm.com

And Yes you are welcome to attend... Finally, there's been a barrage of what we call collateral deaths associated with domestic violence.
