Featured Story

Jeremy Burgess

Jeremy Burgess was a 27 year old son, father, husband, brother, who lost his life on Saturday, January 24, 2009. He was routinely lifting weights in his garage after a long day and was probably tired, nonetheless, he was lifting without a "spotter," and a 300lb weight fell on him killing him. His mother's wish “Is to every young man wanting to be that bigger, better, stronger individual. Don’t think you are invincible. No matter how much you know or think you know about weight lifting you can never determine how your body will respond every time to the weights you are lifting.” In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Wachovia Bank, 8801 W. Colonial Drive, Ocoee, Florida 34761 on behalf of his children Dakota and Morianna Burgess.
