- John H. Jackson Center, located at the corner of Westmoreland and Carter streets, is now offering excersise classes for the entire family.(KIDS INCLUDED). The Classes are held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Friday at 3 different times. Cost is $21.30 for adults and kids K-12 are free. - The Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association is currently undertaking a community education project in Orange County that seeks to educate residents about various housing issues including the following: landlord/tenant laws, foreclosure law, issues involving credit and the purchase of a home, and issues involving Federal Fair Housing laws that prohibit discrimination in housing related matters. The Legal Aid Society would be willing to have an attorney speak at a homeowners' association meeting, other community meetings, or at places of religious worship. - The Pine Hills ACORN chapter continues their campaign to curb racial profiling within the area. They are conintuing to collect information on victims stories.
