Three middle school students from Glenridge Middle school in Orlando could be expelled.

The 2 boys and 1 girl were arrested for selling the prescription drug Adderall, which is similar to Ritalin. It is normally prescribed to hyperactive children.

The supplier of the drugs, is also said to be a middle school student.

Despite this case, a new survey shows that drug and tobacco use is down for the fourth consecutive year among Florida's middle and high school students.

Those results come from the latest Youth Substance Abuse Survey conducted by the Department of Children and Families.

The 2003 survey measured trends among students between 6th and 12th grades.

The survey concludes tobacco use is down 38 percent over the last three years and alcohol use dropped 10 percent during that same period.

Marijuana use in that age group has declined nine percent since 2000. However, the survey found the percentage of high school students smoking pot increased last year.

Governor Bush says the survey has recorded big declines in overall drug use over the last two years.
