Kyle LaRue, whose on-air presence was described early in his career by a Philadelphia Daily News columnist as “cool and confident,” knew early that radio was his calling. He currently serves as mixer and weekend air personality on Star 94.5. Through the course of his radio career of nearly 20 years, Kyle has held influential on-air and programming positions in Baltimore, MD and his hometown - Philadelphia, PA.

Kyle has been moving crowds of all types as a DJ since the age of 15…having played for wedding receptions, private “basement” parties, capacity-filled warehouse-style dance clubs, upscale jazz networking sets, and everything else imaginable.

DJ Kyle LaRue is a “vinyl purist” and music fanatic, with an endless collection of twelve-inch records and CD’s…and a fast-growing MP3 digital audio database. His music catalog spans over four decades and includes a wide, eclectic variety of music. Kyle takes special pride in showcasing the history and forward progression of musical genres that mirror the mature, urban-adult lifestyle.

When he’s not in the mix, Kyle serves as a computer instructor, technology support representative, and web content coordinator with Orange County Public Schools. He is a diehard Philadelphia Eagles football fan. He's adopted his new hometown Orlando Magic as his favorite basketball team, but still has love for the Philadelphia 76ers (as long as Allen Iverson is in the lineup!). Kyle also enjoys throwback movie nights, Wii Bowling and Basketball, and quiet family time with his wife and daughters.
