US President Barack Obama has admitted that his much awaited ceremonial first pitch on Opening Day in Washington was a ball, "little high and outside". Obama tossed the ball Monday at the Washington Nationals home opener against the Philadelphia Phillies for the first time after assuming the President's office since he could not make it to the game last year because of the G-20 summit in Europe.

The women's team at Baylor have not been more successful than when they made the decision to bring on Brittney Griner. A 6′8″ freshman that hasn't sold one wolf ticket since being on the team. According to Yahoo! Rivals.com, Griner has brought the school to a top-15 ranking with a 22-7 record this season. But, all of that may be overshadowed by a beatdown during her game against Texas Tech.

On Saturday, Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic, added a world record to his resume. Dwight entered the Guinness Book of World Records by making a shot from 52 feet, six inches away while sitting down. The stunt was part of the NBA All Star Game festivities.
