Radio Station Tower Devastated By Groundhog Day Twister
February 2, 2007 - Our Cox Radio sister station, Star 94.5 FM (WCFB-FM), suffered incredible devastation at their tower and transmitter site on the Lake-Volusia county line. The 1,500 foot tower was actually toppled by the Groundhog Day twisters, sending it down on top of the transmitter building. The entire site is a total loss. Star engineers have put the station back on the air via a temporary transmitter and tower site.
